Transportation:

Polystrand® proudly services Great Dane Trailers with the majority of their thermoplastic composite needs.  From wall liners to scuffbands, Polystrand custom fits the composite panels to Great Dane's stringent specifications.  Greater impact resistance is one of the many benefits that Polystrand's material offers.

Automotive:

Polystrand is servicing the automotive industry as well with high strength composites. Fiber reinforced thermoplastics is used in the reinforcement of sun shades.  Another application serviced in the auto industry is a composite front end bolster.

Ballistics:

Polystrand has worked for many years in cooperation with the University of Maine to provide uparmored systems to retrofit troop tents.  Learn more about the University of Maine and the ACMA award.

Additionally, Polystrand has worked with numerous defense companies in applications such as side body armor and vehicle protection.  Our thermoplastic composite offers excellent ballistic protection and blast mitigation. 

Air Cargo Containers:

Polystrand currently services the air cargo industry by supplying a lightweight high strength honeycomb sandwich panel.  It is widely recognized as the lightest, most durable air cargo container in the field today. 

Wind Energy:

Polystrand is working closely with companies in the Wind Energy industry to implement "Green" components in an industry that provides clean energy.  From wind blades to nacelles, Polystrand will work diligently to help develop and advance the use of environmentally friendly thermoplastic composites. 

Pipe:

Polystrand is currently working with companies in the pipe industry to create a stronger more durable environmentally friendly pipe.  We are also working to retrofit old, outdated, environmentally dangerous pipes.
